Greetings, and welcome to the new website of Gamma Chapter.  Thanks to the hard work of one of our 'Tech Guys' (Marco Casillas) we have a great new interface and way of updating our site content.  Each member of the exec board will have their own responsibility to update their respective sections.  While it may take a few weeks to be fully functional, as we learn and grow with the system you can expect more and more updates and information available.

I see our chapter faced with some big challenges in the next year but hope to use those same challenges to rouse our members to take on more responsibilities and help the chapter grow stronger internally and in the community.  This is an exciting time for Gamma because we have a core of leaders making up the exec board that is committed to the success of the chapter.  I have also asked that every new member take an active role in the future of the house they joined by serving on a committee, chairing a committee, or shadowing a Jeweled Officer.

This next year shows promise for us to get a philanthropy event established on campus to raise money for the Ronald Reagan Alzheimer’s Foundation.  I have created a service committee chaired by Steve Luu that will coordinate with campus service organizations.  I feel that, as a chapter, we are lacking in the time we give back to the Champaign-Urbana community.  This new committee will list several events a week that fraters can attend and make a difference together. 

Yesterday we initiated the 14 men of Upsilon class into the bond of TKE.  I feel as though they are all going to be difference makers in the chapter this semester and in the years to come. 

The rush chairs have been working hard for the last several weeks to put together a successful plan for rush.  Less than 24 hours after they initiate we will hold our first rush event of Spring 2007.   

In closing, I am very excited about what our chapter can do this semester and will work my hardest to ensure that we will utilize every member to their best potential.
